When the blast was observed people rushed towards the schools, universities near the bank to pick there children but all the gates were closed. Students were not permitted to leave the educational institution.
Like always the Police and law enforcement agencies cordoned off the area and shopkeepers in the state of panic closed down all shops and Lal kurti bazaar and adjoining areas were completely closed.

After the horrifying blast Army troops sealed the whole length of the slip road which parallel to Shalimar plaza. Security forces came into actions and increased patrolling was observed by everyone.

Crime scene was visited by the high officials and fake promises were made again!

People are now scared to allow there children go out with friends or go to schools even, No one is safe after stepping out of their homes. This condition is affecting people mentally and physically. Kids and young teens are scared to play in streets and elders are as much as scared and tense as much young generation is!

Question remains unanswered when will the situation improves? When will we be able to move out safe? Will these terrorist acts come to an end someday?

All we can do is pray and watch our self and our surroundings.

Suicide attacks in Iraq continue to pose a set of fatal questions for everyone including the American regime. The security of the nation, the freedom of the people and the efficiency of the American-forced war in the state are queries no one seems able to answer sufficiently.

No extremist group or freedom fighter organization has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.

The Prime Minister of Iraq, Nuri al-Maliki, condemned the attacks and vowed to hunt down those who pose a threat to the national security and the Iraqi nation’s freedom and prosperity. He addressed the nation and said, “We will punish the enemies of the Iraqi who want to spread chaos in the country.” He promised to avenge the suffering country from those who have the intention to derail the country off political progress.

It is believed that the attacks were carried out in order to disrupt the political advancement that had been occurring for the past few weeks in hope for prospering January elections. President Jalal Talabani expressed his grief and dismay over the attacks. He declared them to be publicly halting and destroying whatever political achievement the nation had made so far.

The area that had been attacked is in close vicinity to the massively guarded Green Zone that also houses the United States Embassy. President Barack Obama condemned the ‘outrageous’ attacks on the ‘sovereignty of the Iraqi people.’ General Ray Odeirno, the top US military commander in Iraq, expressed his ‘genuine concern’ over the suicide blast.

The attack is considered the deadliest in the time-span of two years. Three truck bombings had killed hundreds of civilians in Qahtaniya, in northern Iraq in August 2007. Citizens have been forewarned of increased violence in the coming several weeks.

The citizens of Iraq are supposed to go to the election polls on the 16th of January, 2010. However the parliament has not confirmed key election legislation and, therefore, having left the elections in a limbo.

Quetta: After a shooting incident, Baluchistan Education Minister Shafique Ahmed Khan was shot dead in a motorcade ambush. The tragic event took place on Toghi road while the minister was on his way home. Gunmen opened indiscriminate fire on the minister. Two bullets were believed to have been shot through his chest and throat.

Shafique Ahmed Khan became the member of the Baluchistan Provincial Assembly in 2008. He was 55 years old. The minister was dismounting his vehicle when gunmen on a motorcycle shot him on the spot. He was affiliated with Pakistan People’s Party. Hidayatullah Jafar has been critically injured in this violent incident.

Initially it was believed that the Taliban were responsible for the shooting. However the Baluchistan Liberation United Front has claimed responsibility for the murder of Minister Shafique Ahmed Khan. The reason for his assassination has not been stated yet. The Prime Minister and President of Pakistan have demanded an immediate investigation of this case.

Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik has condemned the murder and vowed to fight against terrorism. MQM Leader Altaf Hussain has expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Minister Shafique Ahmed Khan. Other political entities continue to express their shock and grief over this horrendous incident.

It is still ambiguous as to why the minister was shot. Most political analysts firmly believe that it had significant connection with the nationalist parties of Baluchistan. Extreme-right parties continue to rebel against the PPP government of the province.

The area of shooting has been cordoned while the vehicle has been taken into custody. This incident of homicide is not a new one in the province of Baluchistan where political carnage and religious bloodshed is a daily routine matter. Freedom fighters and nationalistic movements continue to thrive on the lives of hundreds of innocents.

It would be naïve for one to believe that the condemnation of this atrocity is enough. Loopholes present in the security system of Pakistan have snatched the lives of many political and non-political entities. As the carnage continues in Pakistan, many citizens are left shattered and dismayed at the destitute condition of their precious country.The Balochistan government has announced the closure of all educational institutions across the province to mourn the death of the minister.

Young people are being taught they will immediately attain Heaven if they perform an act involving suicide bombing – but this promise does not come from the Quran: in fact, it warns of condemnation of suicides to Hell. There is no basis in Islam for the suicide bombers being promised entry to Paradise: the prophet Muhammad exhorted his followers to only follow that which was found in the Quran but there are other writings, such as Sunna and Hadiths, that God condemned. These books are written by man and make different promises which are not found within the Quran. In their zeal, these young people are breaking God’s commandment and, when they do that, they are removing themselves away from God’s Mercy. Moreover, just because a person belongs to a different faith does not give Muslims cause to persecute them. According to the Quran:

‘…if they leave you alone, refrain from fighting you, and offer you peace, then God gives you no excuse to fight them’.

Is there any instance in which Islam sanctions fighting? Moslems are enjoined to face injustice and oppression and to establish justice on earth and to repel aggression. The Quran states that ‘God does not love the aggressors’ and yet, when a suicide bomber enters a crowded market and blows himself up, indiscriminately maiming and killing innocent bystanders – then that is an act of aggression. While it may be considered acceptable to enter into a war with regular soldiers, even according to the Quran, it is seen as an act of aggression to inflict harm on women, children, the old, the sick and the clergy.

“You may fight in the cause of God against those who attack you, but do not aggress. God does not love the aggressors”.

On 9th October 2009, in Peshawar, a suicide bomber blew himself up. Aside from killing himself, he killed 7 children and 42 adults including a young girl who was in a nearby bus with her family, on the way to a family wedding.
